Fascino del Westside: elegante casa 3BR

Nice. Positive: The house was comfortable, clean, and had what we needed for our short stay. I was pleasantly surprised that there was a drive away and off street parking. House was cute - neighborhood is in transition. Just something to be aware of and It was quiet.

Unhappy Positive: Used eyelashes on floor, dishwasher jam packed with dishes from last renter. Couch broke, blind in bathroom to small for window we didn't use that bath.Beds so hard, Like sleeping on floor! We will not be renting again! Negative: Used lashes on floor, dishwasher full of last renters dishes. Hard beds. Don't rent. Bad area!

I would stay here again, but maybe only in the spring/fall due to insulation issues. The house was very cute & c Positive: The area was very quiet and close to everything we needed. Only minutes from downtown and the West End beltline. The house was very clean and had simple little amenities needed to make the stay comfortable for anyone that may have needed them. (we brought our own toiletries, but the included toiletries were a very nice touch.) Loved that the front door had a keypad lock for added security. It’s a very well maintained space. Negative: The cleanliness of the towels could use some work, maybe be swapped out for brand new ones because there were some stains that seem like they’re passed the point of coming out with detergent/bleach. The major issue we had was comfortability when it came to warmth, with it being mid January the outside temperature was well into the low 20s & 30s and the house’s insulation could use some SERIOUS work, one side of the house was freezing at night, while the master bedroom/bathroom were incredibly warm. This made the stay for some guests quite uncomfortable. One room had a small space heater but the wattage was so strong that it kept tripping the breaker even on the lowest setting, another space heater was brought in the next day of our stay but it had the exact same wattage of 1500 watts as the original heater so it was also tripping the breaker, we finally just had to turn the second space heater on the lowest setting and turn off all the lights in the bathroom, the tv & the fireplace in the living room just so there wouldn’t be too much power being used, and close the door of the room being occupied so it could build up some warmth to be comfortably slept in. While the hosts tried their hardest to rectify this issue, it’s still something that needs careful consideration when deciding on how to move forward to avoid that issue with any future guest stays.
